Channel Farm and Heady are built for the same job: long faceless YouTube videos, made in a hosted app, from a script that AI drafts and you review. That makes this a closer comparison than most. The differences are in how long a video can be, how it is structured, what you can change, and what you pay.
We checked every Channel Farm fact on this page on 2026-10-29 against its homepage and pricing page, listed at the end. Its prices that day carried a 20% seasonal discount ending 31 October 2026, so we lead with the listed prices and give the discounted ones as a dated note.
The core difference
Channel Farm puts a character and a voice at the centre. Every plan lists a consistent character, voices you can create or clone (one to three, depending on the plan), a full video editor and 9:16 short-form videos. Its homepage describes the flow as "AI drafts the script · you review" and the result as a "Final 1440p video, ready to upload". Long videos run up to 10, 15 or 20 minutes depending on the plan.
Heady puts the structure of a long video at the centre. Long videos run 8 to 30 minutes in 16:9, and every one is built in chapters: Heady drafts an outline split into chapters, then every line, and you edit and approve it, and the credit price, before anything renders. Long formats add chapter cards, a progress bar with chapter marks, lower thirds and an end card, and the description Heady writes lists the chapter timestamps. Every scene in a chapter is drawn from the same reference image, so characters, places and style stay consistent. On Pro and Studio, Motion mode adds animated charts, counters and timelines.
On script review, the two are level: both draft the script and both let you review it before the video is made.
When Channel Farm is the better choice
- You want to start now. Channel Farm is open and its plans are month to month. Heady isn't open yet.
- You want your own voice, or a cloned one. Channel Farm lets you create or clone voices on every plan. Heady does not clone voices, and its narration is in English at launch.
- Your channel has a recurring character. Channel Farm lists a consistent character on every plan. Heady keeps characters consistent within a chapter of a video, from one reference image.
- You want a timeline-style editor to change the finished video in detail. Channel Farm lists a full video editor. In Heady you swap images, re-record lines and change camera moves, then render again.
- You want a higher resolution. Channel Farm's homepage says 1440p. Heady's paid plans make 1080p.
When Heady is the better choice
- Your videos run past 20 minutes. Channel Farm's longest videos are 20 minutes, on its two top plans. Heady's long videos run to 30 minutes on Pro and Studio.
- You want chapters built in. Chapter cards, a progress bar with chapter marks and the timestamps for your description come with every long Heady video. We did not find chapters mentioned on Channel Farm's pages.
- You want to see the price of each video before it renders. The render dialog shows the price in credits and an estimated ready time, nothing is charged until you confirm, and you never pay more than the quote.
- Your topic is full of numbers. Motion mode adds animated charts, counters and timelines to long videos on Pro and Studio.
- You want to try before you pay. Channel Farm says "There is no free trial." Heady plans a 14-day free trial at launch with 24 credits (2 Shorts), no card needed, with a Heady watermark.
Price per 10-minute video
Channel Farm lists videos per month for each plan. On the $61 plan, 300 credits make about 6 videos of up to 10 minutes, so one 10-minute video works out to about $10.17 at the listed price. The table uses the same arithmetic for every plan, assuming you use all the month's credits. On 2026-10-29 the prices carried a 20% discount ending 31 October 2026; the last column shows what that discount made each video cost.
| Channel Farm plan (listed price) | Videos a month (as listed) | Max length | Per video, listed price | Per video, with the discount that ended 31 October 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $61 | about 6 | 10 min | about $10.17 | about $8.17 ($49 plan) |
| $124 | about 15 | 15 min | about $8.27 | about $6.60 ($99 plan) |
| $311 | about 40 | 20 min | about $7.78 | about $6.23 ($249 plan) |
| $874 | about 120 | 20 min | about $7.28 | about $5.83 ($699 plan) |
Channel Farm also lists 60, 150, 400 and 1,200 minutes of video a month for these plans. That is 10 minutes per listed video on every plan, so each per-video figure is also the price of one 10-minute video.
Heady, at launch prices in USD plus applicable tax, when you use all your credits:
| Heady plan | 10-minute video, Standard | 10-minute video, Motion mode |
|---|---|---|
| Pro, $69 a month | $6.47 | $8.63 |
| Studio, $149 a month | $5.59 | $7.45 |
Long videos need Pro or Studio; Creator makes Shorts. See what each video costs.
What to check before you pay
- The length you actually make. If most of your videos run 10 to 15 minutes, both tools cover them. Past 20 minutes, only Heady does.
- Whether you need chapters on YouTube. If you do, check how Channel Farm handles timestamps in a test video.
- Your voice. If the channel's identity depends on a cloned or custom voice, Channel Farm fits better today.
- Any new offer. Channel Farm's prices on 2026-10-29 carried a 20% discount ending 31 October 2026. This page leads with the listed prices; check its pricing page for the price on the day you buy.
