Please do not put personal data about other people into topics or scripts unless you have the right to. Heady does not need it to make a video.

3. How AI processing works

To make a video, we send the text and instructions needed for each step to AI models:

  • Scripts, outlines and descriptions are generated by large language models.
  • Images are generated and edited by image models.
  • Narration is generated by text-to-speech models.

These requests go through OpenRouter, a service that routes each request to the model provider that runs the model. Some steps run on our own servers and send nothing to a third party beyond our hosting provider: the open-source voice model used on [PLACEHOLDER: plans that use the self-hosted voice], and the speech recognition that times every word for subtitles.

What we send to model providers is the content needed for the step: for example, the topic and outline for the script, a description of the scene for an image, or the lines to be spoken. We do not send your account details or payment data.

[PLACEHOLDER: state, per provider, whether it retains prompts and outputs and for how long, and confirm that OpenRouter is configured to exclude providers that train on or log requests. Do not publish until confirmed.]

We do not use your content or outputs to train AI models.

When you buy, you enter your payment details on Stripe's checkout, and Stripe processes your name, email, billing address, payment details and purchase history as an independent controller under its own privacy policy [PLACEHOLDER: link Stripe's privacy policy and name the Stripe entity]. We receive from Stripe what we need to run your account: [PLACEHOLDER: e.g. your email, country, plan, payment status and order IDs]. We never see your full card details.

If you publish a video on a platform such as YouTube, that platform is responsible for what it does with it.

5. Transfers outside the EU and Hong Kong

We are based in Hong Kong, and some recipients are in, or can access data from, other countries, in particular the United States. For personal data of people in the EU/EEA, where a country does not have an adequacy decision from the European Commission, we rely on:
