InVideo AI and Heady both turn a prompt into a video, but they are built around different jobs. InVideo AI is a general-purpose AI video studio: an agent that drafts the video, a choice of generative video and image models, and a timeline editor to finish it. Heady does one thing: narrated, faceless YouTube videos, long-form with chapters or 9:16 Shorts, built from a script you approve.

We checked every InVideo AI fact on this page on 2026-10-29 against the sources listed at the end. Prices and plans change often; check their page before you buy.

The core difference

InVideo AI generates footage. Its site lists third-party video models such as Veo 3.1, Kling and Seedance, and its pricing page puts Seedance 2.5 on the Plus plan and above. You get moving footage per scene, and you can rearrange and adjust it in a timeline editor.

Heady generates one world and animates it. The first frame of a video sets the look; every other frame is an edit of it, so places, palette and characters stay the same across a 20-minute video. Motion comes from depth parallax, camera moves and smooth transitions between frames, not from a video model. For charts, titles and timelines, Motion mode builds animated graphics as code. You shape the video at the script level: edit any line, approve the script, and Heady produces the rest.

Choose InVideo AI if

  • You want generated footage of things moving, people acting, real-looking scenes. Heady does not use a video model.
  • You want to edit on a timeline. InVideo AI includes timeline editing on all plans. Heady's editing happens in the script.
  • You need voice cloning. InVideo AI lists voice cloning; Heady does not offer it.
  • You work as a team. InVideo AI's plans are priced per seat, with up to 20 seats on Max and free guest seats on Plus and Max.
  • You make many kinds of video, not only YouTube narration: ads, social clips, product videos.

Choose Heady if

  • You publish long YouTube videos with chapters. Heady makes 8–30 minute 16:9 videos with chapter cards, lower-thirds, a progress bar, and the YouTube chapter timestamps, SRT file and description ready to paste.
  • You want one consistent look across a whole video. Every frame is an edit of the first, so the world does not drift from scene to scene.
  • Your videos are data-heavy. Motion mode renders charts, timelines and counters as code, so on-screen text and numbers are exact.
  • You want to approve the script before anything is produced. The chapters and every line are yours to change first.
  • You want a simple unit. 1 credit is 1 finished minute of video, whatever happens in it.

Pricing, side by side

From InVideo AI's pricing page on 2026-10-29, billed monthly, per seat:

PlanPrice per seatCredits per seat per month
Starter€20400
Plus€602,000
Max€1505,000

Annual billing was listed at half these prices as part of a 50% promotion on the day we checked. The page says unused credits do not roll over to the next month. InVideo AI's credits pay for generative models and features, so how many minutes of finished video a plan buys depends on which models you use.

Heady prices by output: 1 credit is 1 finished minute of video. Current plans are on the pricing page.

What to check before you decide

We could not confirm these from InVideo AI's own pages, so test them in a trial or ask their support:

  • The maximum length of a single video on your plan.
  • Whether chapter timestamps and SRT files are exported for YouTube.
  • How many credits a 10-minute video uses with the models you would pick.

If you are planning a long-form channel, our guides on script structure and YouTube chapters apply whichever tool you choose.
