InVideo AI is a broad AI video studio: an agent drafts the video, generative models supply the footage, and a timeline editor lets you finish it. Plans are priced per seat in credits. People look for alternatives when they want something more specific: a tool built for long YouTube videos, a different look, more predictable cost per video, or no subscription at all.

Here are seven alternatives, including our own product, Heady. Every fact about another product was checked on 2026-10-29 against the sources listed at the end. InVideo AI, for reference: €20, €60 or €150 per seat a month billed monthly, with 400, 2,000 or 5,000 credits per seat, timeline editing on all plans, and unused credits that do not roll over (invideo.io/pricing).

How we chose

We included tools that make narrated videos from a topic or a script and could replace InVideo AI for a faceless YouTube channel. We left out clipping tools and plain editors. Heady is first because it is ours; weigh its entry accordingly.

Heady

Best for: long-form YouTube videos with chapters and a consistent look.

Heady writes the script from a topic with you: you can edit any line and approve it before anything is made. It then makes the video: AI stills where every frame is an edit of the first, depth parallax motion and smooth transitions, natural AI narration with word-by-word subtitles, music ducked under the voice, chapter cards, lower-thirds and a progress bar. Long-form is 8–30 minutes at 16:9; Shorts are 9:16. Motion mode builds charts, timelines and counters as code. Exports include YouTube chapter timestamps, an SRT file and a description. 1 credit is 1 finished minute (pricing).

Watch for: Heady does not generate video footage, has no timeline editor and no voice cloning, and it is English first. If those matter, InVideo AI or another tool here fits better. See Heady vs InVideo AI.

Pictory

Best for: stock-footage videos with simple, minute-based plans.

Pictory matches your text to stock footage from Storyblocks and Getty Images and uses ElevenLabs voices. Plans are $29, $59 and $199 a month billed monthly, with 30, 90 and 300 video minutes; videos run 5 to 30 minutes by plan, in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1. It lists 29 languages on Professional and Teams, and an API on Teams and Enterprise.

Watch for: Pictory does not generate original video; it assembles stock. See Heady vs Pictory.

Fliki

Best for: voices, languages and avatars.

Fliki lists 300 voices across 80+ languages on its free plan, 1,000 on Standard and 2,000+ on Premium, with voice cloning on paid plans and stock or photo avatars. Videos run up to 5, 15 or 40 minutes by plan. Stock media is free of credits.

Watch for: credits are charged per action (voice per minute by tier, export, AI images, AI video per second), so estimate a typical video before choosing a plan. See Heady vs Fliki.

Higgsfield

Best for: stylised short episodes and series, and working from an AI assistant.

Higgsfield's Faceless Studio makes episodes of up to 5 minutes, 16:9 or 9:16, in 12 styles, and saves style, voice and characters per channel. Content Factory makes 9:16 videos from 15 seconds to 5 minutes, with 50+ presets and custom presets built from links. Both are reachable through Higgsfield MCP in Claude and ChatGPT.

Watch for: cost per minute. Higgsfield's own example prices Faceless Studio at 246 credits, $12.30, per minute. See Heady vs Higgsfield.

TubeGen

Best for: very long scripts.

TubeGen's plans are sized in minutes of video and maximum script length: Starter at $149 a month for about 60 minutes and 3,000-word scripts, Pro at $297 for about 148 minutes and 10,000 words, Premium at $849 for about 438 minutes and 20,000 words. A Build Your Own Plan option starts at $27 a month.

Watch for: its pricing page says it does not offer refunds and suggests starting with a credit purchase to test it.

AutoTube

Best for: long YouTube videos with clear costs.

AutoTube lists videos of up to 3 hours, shows the exact credit cost of each step before it runs, and rolls unused credits over while you are subscribed. Plans: Creator $50 a month, Pro $99, and an Own Keys plan at $59 (an early-bird price) with no markup on steps your own API keys cover.

Watch for: the Own Keys plan means managing your own provider accounts and bills.

MoneyPrinterTurbo

Best for: technical creators who want a free, self-hosted pipeline.

MoneyPrinterTurbo is open source under the MIT license. It uses stock footage from Pexels, Pixabay and Coverr or your own media, optional AI video providers, TTS engines including Edge TTS, ElevenLabs and Kokoro, and Whisper-timed subtitles. It runs through Docker, a web UI, an API or a CLI.

Watch for: you host and maintain it, and you pay any API providers you connect.
